- We research over 50 marine species with a focus on coastal sharks, rays and turtles and large finfish.
$15 could support a local student to engage in shark science
$35 could cover the cost of a fisher intern learning marine monitoring techniques and provide an economic alternative to fishing
$50 could cover the cost of a full CSI (Collaborating Shark Investigator) kit to engage fishers and stakeholders in shark monitoring
$100 could cover the cost of fuel for one day’s marine megafauna monitoring or working on fish landings with fishers at a fishing port.
$ 250 covers the cost of a stakeholder meeting to share information and discuss management and conservation measures
$570 could cover the cost for the fisher and research team to conduct monitoring and science for a day or the cost of a shark acoustic tracking tag and attachment
