Cordelia is an accounting professional with a career spanning diverse industries and roles. Currently finishing her BSc in Accounting and aspiring to obtain her CPA, Cordelia began her career in 2006 with a part-time position in the hospitality industry, performing basic filing and other tasks. By 2007, she was working full-time as an Accounts Receivables Clerk at Best Western, where she spent seven years mastering various accounting duties, including Accounts Payable, Income Analysis, and aspects of Financial Controller responsibilities. After a brief stint in the United States, Cordelia returned to Belize and, in 2017, joined a Screen Printing and Embroidery company as an Accounts Clerk, eventually rising to the position of Office Manager in 2022.
In 2024, Cordelia embarked on a new journey with MarAlliance, despite lacking a background in Project Accounting or Marine Conservation, she embraced this challenge with enthusiasm and a commitment to continuous learning. Cordelia’s openness to gaining knowledge about marine conservation exemplifies her adaptability and passion for professional growth, qualities that have been central to her successful career.
