Communications & Marketing Coordinator

When she finished her bachelor’s degree, Mireia’s interest in marine conservation, diving and wildlife inspired her to relocate to the Galapagos Islands, where she discovered her “true calling”: working to make the world a better place for nature and people. For three years, besides co-coordinating a Waldorf school and teaching natural science, she got actively involved in several environmental campaigns focused on marine life –particularly sharks and rays –addressed to the local community with organizations such as The Galapagos National Park, The Charles Darwin Foundation, Agents of Change and Ecology Project International.Mireia has been working in the conservation sector for more than 7 years now. She holds an MA in Communications Management fromthe Barcelona Business School and a Digital Marketing Diploma from the Cambridge Marketing Institute.She has worked as the digital communications lead of organizations such as BirdLife International or SUBMON and developed the social media strategy for United Nations Environment Programme -WCMC. Back in 2019, she acted as Communications Coordinator of the first World Marine Mammal Conference held in Barcelona, Spain.Throughout her professional career, Mireia has collaborated with scientists, policy teams, local communities, fundraising teams, creative agencies and communications experts in more than 6countries.
